Why Use Google AdSense in WordPress

You probably heard about Google AdSense and you are thinking about giving it a go. But is it really worth placing an AdSense banner on your WordPress site?

The answer is a yes. It’s possible to have some other banner on your site, sell ad spaces, or even use affiliate ad program that would help you monetise your site (given that your website gets a decent amount of traffic). However with affiliate marketing, it is expected that the visitor from your website completes a sale before you earn any commission for it. Sometimes most purchases turn into refunds which means there is no commission for it.

But that’s nothing compared to AdSense. It totally works in a different way. There are people out there who earn more than 100,000 dollars per year by using AdSense. The good thing about AdSense is that It doesn’t just stop with making more money. When you place a text-only ad on the sidebar it’s actually far less obtrusive than a flashy banner designed to catch the eye of the visitor.

Obviously you will need to think about a better placement for your ads, but despite that it shouldn’t bother viewers as much as traditional ads. Think about those sites that use floating banners, popups, and many other schemes that will annoy the visitors in every possible way. With AdSense you can even do better, be less annoying to people while making a decent amount of money.

AdSense ads are automatically generated based on the content of your site. When you use an affiliate ad program, you have to think about the niche and the categories your site belongs to. However, if any page on your site falls outside of these categories, these banners won’t be targeted to your visitors anymore. That means you will potentially be showing ads to people who have absolutely no interest in them. This will lead to less revenue and inefficiency in your online business.

With Google AdSense you can take care of this issue very easily. AdSense ads present on your site are always in sync with whatever your visitors are interested in, adding more value to your site and revenue that it generates.

What’s more interesting is that Google adSense ads are customizable and mobile friendly. It can be easily integrated with your site’s content, targeting users from a specific device such as tablet, mobile or desktop and increasing the overall visual quality. Sometimes it can be hard to find people who want to advertise on your website. AdSense is clearly the easiest solution available to this problem.

Google AdSense is a free ad placement service. The potential database of websites from AdWords is larger then anything you might encounter from any competitor. This means as more advertisers are willing to pay more per click, the CPC or cost per click for search terms will inevitably rise.

Setting up your Google Adsense account is pretty easy. All you need to do is copy and paste a few lines of the generated code and you are all done. You can choose exactly where you want to place the banners. You can also choose the size, color, style etc.

For any webmaster out there, That’s a great scheme because it lets you draw the line between your site’s usability level and the amount of advertising you wish to have. Some people are just focused on generating more revenue while others take it as hobby and just keep AdSense running to pay for the hosting.

AdSense is a great advertising program because a lot of thought went into making it something that just works for everyone. It also works great for the people who use AdWords, and most importantly for the visitors of the websites.

Disclosure: This page may contain affiliate links. If you follow one of those affiliate links and purchase something it will provide me with a little bit of a commission. This costs you nothing extra but helps maintain my site, free plugins, and themes. So I thank you for your support.
